I'm hoping to find people who might want to trade some patterns with me. What I have are some "historical" costume patterns from the 70's and lots of nice 60's patterns. I'd like to trade for patterns from the 1910's (ha!), 20's, 30's and/or 40's. I'm mostly looking for evening dresses and wedding dresses of those time periods. I've got enough "everyday" dresses. Oh, and coat patterns would be nice too.If you don't have anything to trade, I'm selling them too. If no takers, I'll probably slap them up on ebay over the weekend. Thanks!!!( patterns hereCollapse )

McCall's 2056 misses' costumes. It's not a proper historical reproduction, because it uses modern things like zippers, but if you like the American Civil War look, I think that's what they're going for here. Published in 1985. I got it at a flea market within the past five years. It looks like all the pieces are there and have not been cut out. From envelope back: Long dresses A, B, C with stand-up collar and D with scoop neckline have fitted bodice with shaped waistline seam, gathered skirt, back zipper closing. Long sleeves A, C have darted cap. Long sleeves B and above elbow length sleeves D have gathered cap. View A has detachable collar, apron and hat. B has hemline ruffle and ribbon and lace trim. C has ribbon trim, ruffled shawl and hat. D has hemline ruffle and bias tape and edging trim.Sizes: 10-12-14 Bust: 32.5-36 in / 83-92 cm.Waist: 25-28 in / 64-71 cm.Hips: 34.5-38 in / 88-97 cm.If you're interested, know your measurements! I'm getting rid of a pile of patterns because I bought the wrong sizes. Don't go by the size numbers, measure yourself and see if you fall within those ranges.Post a reply here if you have anything to trade. If you're into historical patterns, I'm looking for Edwardian and Empire ladies' wear. I need patterns that are larger than these ones. ^^; I have some modern clothing patterns too, and I'll post them soon.

Heya! This is Momo who's just created this little community here. I'm a 20-y/o seamstress that works mainly with vintage patterns when I'm not doing boring alterations. Some of those patterns I'm totally in love with, but others I've found in my collection I don't much care for or aren't in the sizes I'd like. So, that's why I wanted to have a place like this since I'm certain there has to be others out there who feel the same way about some that they have. In one case there's one from the 70's for two styles of pants including bellbottoms--but are in size 6, and I'd love to trade for the same style size 10+. There's many older ones from the 50's whose styles aren't really me or the people who usually show interest in ordering from me. Anywho, you don't even have to have any patterns to trade to join... although this place centers around trading, it's just an all-purpous crafty community.
