Derek Hough is getting excited about the possibility of becoming a dad.
The Dancing with the Stars judge, 39, recently revealed to E! News, that he and wife Hayley Erbert, 29, are looking forward to expanding their family dance crew with a few little ones.
"We definitely want to have a family eventually,” he told the outlet. “We'll see what's in the cards, what's on the horizon. Little dancing children running around."
While excited for the future, Hough is also appreciating the present with Erbert, who underwent an emergency craniectomy in December 2023 after being hospitalized with a cranial hematoma — when blood collects in the skull.

“She's a miracle," the proud husband said of his professional dancer wife. “She really is and I don't say that lightly.”
Last month, the couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary, sharing a joint Instagram on Monday, Aug. 26. To mark the milestone, the Dancing with the Stars dancers shared a video filmed on their wedding day, showing them holding hands as they enjoyed a scenic, cliffside walk by the ocean in Monterey, Calif.

In the post's caption, Hough reflected on the ups and downs that he and his "beautiful wife" have faced over the past year.
"This past year has been a journey filled with so many challenges, blessings, difficulties and triumphs," Hough wrote to his wife. "Through it all, your grace and beauty have shone brightly, reminding me every day of how blessed I am to walk this path with you."
"But above all, this year has been a testament to the power of love — our love. Love truly conquers all," he continued. "Here’s to many more years of facing life together, with love leading the way."
Hough concluded his sweet anniversary message: "I love you more than words can express. Happy Anniversary ❤️."
