When Lana Del Rey tied the knot with alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene, the couple chose to host their nuptials in a setting close to their hearts.
"The wedding ceremony and reception were both held in the same bayou where Jeremy operates his swamp boats tours,” a source tells PEOPLE of the couple’s Sept. 26 celebration in Des Allemandes, La.
The source adds: “This is where they first met. It's a special place for them. It was a beautiful, relaxed and family focused wedding. The focus was just on their love story."
The pair obtained a marriage license from the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court in Louisiana on Sept. 23, three days before the singer-songwriter and her beau exchanged teir vows. An Airboat Tours by Arthur employee confirmed the wedding to PEOPLE on Sept. 27.
In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Del rey can be seen in a white gown with a ruffle neckline and her hair styled with a light blue ribbon. Dufrene wore a dark suit for the occasion.
Representatives for Del Rey did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

Per the Daily Mail, Del Rey appeared to have been walked down the aisle by her father, Robert Grant, while holding a flower bouquet. In other photos several white tents can be seen set up near the water with tables and chairs as guest as guests in suits, dresses and other formal wear mingled nearby.
A boat docked nearby was decked out with greenery and white florals.
The “Summertime Sadness” singer has known Dufrene since at least 2019, when she shared photos with him on Facebook after she took one of his wildlife tours.

"Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours," she captioned a set of images on Facebook.
The source also told PEOPLE Del Rey and Dufrene "initially met a few years ago the first time and then reconnected earlier this year.”
The source adds: “It's been kind of a whirlwind romance, but Lana's close friends hoped she would get married. Jeremy is different from the men that Lana meets in the entertainment world. He's a great guy. He's charming and charismatic in a Southern way, very much a gentleman and he treats Lana really well. She's an old soul."

In May, Del Ray tagged Dufrene in an Instagram post, seemingly referring to him as her "guy."
She captioned the photo, which featured the singer and her two siblings, "Family w my guy @jeremy.dufrene @codyjay."
In August 2024, a TikTok user shared a brief video of the singer walking hand-in-hand with a Dufrene at the Leeds Festival in England, where Del Rey was performing.
Then on Sept. 7, Del Rey brought Dufrene to model Karen Elson's wedding to Electric Lady Studios owner Lee Foster in New York City. The pair were joined by other celebrity guests, including Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, as well as Karlie Kloss and Linda Evangelista.
