Khloé Kardashian is celebrating her ex Tristan Thompson's brother Amari Thompson's birthday with a heartfelt "thank you."

On Saturday, July 27, The Kardashians star, 40, shared a post on Instagram in honor of Amari's 18th birthday, featuring tons of photos of the pair posing together for selfies, Amari spending time with Kardashian's kids and even a shot of the newly-minted 18-year-old's birthday party celebration with some of the Kardashian-Jenner kids.

"Happy 18th Birthday sweet angel Amari!!" Khloé wrote in the caption. "I can’t believe you are 18! You have changed our lives in the best possible ways!"

"Thank you for being an angel to us all! You are the sweetest, silliest and most loving young man," she added. "I hope you feel how much we love and adore you our sweet angel Amari 💙."

Another post shared on Kris' Instagram page featured some photos of Amari posing with Khloé and her two kids — daughter True, 6, and son Tatum, 1 — as well as shots of the teen with his older brother and his late mother.

"Happy 18th birthday Amari!!!" Kris wrote in the post's caption. "You are the sweetest, most special soul and we all love you so very much. Each and every time we are together I am grateful for the lessons you teach me."

"I thank God every day for your spirit and the love that you give," she finished. "Thank you for showing us what pure love is. I love you to the moon and back, [Love you,] xo ❤️🙏🏼🥰🥳🎂."

Tristan, 33, shared his own post in celebration of his youngest brother's birthday, featuring photos of Amari as a younger kid as well as more shots of him with their mother Andrea over the years.

"Happy birthday, Amari! Big number 18!" the Cleveland Cavaliers player wrote in the caption. "We are so blessed and fortunate for all the blessings that you bring to our lives! You are always a beacon of light! I love you so much and I’m so so blessed to be your older brother."

Khloé and Tristan have been candid in the past about both Amari's disabilities and how they have cared for him since the death of Tristan's mom in January 2023.

In an October 2023 episode of The Kardashians, Khloé explained to viewers that Amari lives with a severe form of epilepsy called Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS), which requires him to use a wheelchair and receive round-the-clock care from his family.

Tristian and Amari's mother — who was also mom to their brothers Dishawn and Daniel — died unexpectedly after suffering a heart attack while at her home in Toronto, where Amari lived with her.

After her death, Tristan became Amari’s primary caregiver, and by September 2023, the NBA star had filed to become his brother’s legal guardian. The brothers now live together in Hidden Hills, Calif., and although Khloé and Tristan are no longer romantically involved, they co-parent their two kids and she is involved in Amari's life.
