Matt Damon has his support system in tow!
On Wednesday, July 31, the Oscar winner, 53, arrived on the red carpet with his family for the New York premiere of his latest film, The Instigators.
He made it a family affair with his wife, Luciana, and the couple’s three daughters: Isabella, 18, Gia, 15, and Stella, 13. Luciana's 24-year-old daughter Alexia was also present, along with Damon’s mother, Nancy Carlsson-Paige.
PEOPLE attended the event and spoke to the Oppenheimer alum about how his wife convinced him to join the upcoming comedic thriller.

“She actually produced this one,” Damon says of Luciana, 48. “So she was very actively involved in this one, but I just trust her.”
The heist comedy is co-written by Chuck MacLean and Casey Affleck, and also stars Michael Stuhlbarg, Paul Walter Hauser, Alfred Molina and Ron Perlman.

“She's one of those people whose taste I trust completely, like Casey and Ben [Affleck],” Damon tells PEOPLE.
“And so when they say something, when they dig their heels in on something, any of them do, I pay attention. We all have blind spots creatively or otherwise. And when I see somebody that I agree with so much feeling strongly about something, I look really carefully at it.”
The Instigators arrives in theaters on Aug. 2 and on Apple TV+ Aug. 9.

Ahead of the film’s promo run, the Damons jetted off for a romantic getaway in Greece in July.
The Good Will Hunting star and his wife, who have been married for 19 years, were photographed having some fun in the sun in Mykonos. Luciana was all smiles while rocking a white bikini, meanwhile Damon stood beside her wearing a pair of black swimming trunks.

Last July the couple had a PDA-filled vacation on the Greek island and also visited with the Hemsworth brothers.
Before traveling to Europe this time around, Damon and Luciana were seen at Isabella’s high school graduation in Brooklyn, New York in mid-June.

Brooklyn Friends School shared an Instagram post congratulating the teen on her accomplishments and future ventures.
“We are celebrating the Class of 2024, one Friend at a time! Congratulations, Bella!” the post began.
“Your confident embrace of your identity serves as a beacon of inspiration for all of us. Good luck at New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study! The Brooklyn Friends community is with you always!” the school added.
