Patrick Dempsey is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd on ABC's Grey's Anatomy (2005-2015, 2020-2021). He has also appeared in Sweet Home Alabama (2002), Enchanted (2007), Made of Honor (2008) and Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011). Dempsey and wife Jillian married in 1999 and share three children.
