Anne Hathaway is an American actress. She rose to fame after starring in 2001's The Princess Diaries. Hathaway's most famous films include Ella Enchanted (2004), Devil Wears Prada (2006), Rachel Getting Married (2008), Bride Wars (2009), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Interstellar (2014) and Ocean's Eight (2018). In 2013, she earned both a Golden Globe and Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Fantine in Les Misérables (2012). Additionally, Hathaway is known for her advocacy for gender equality as a UN Women goodwill ambassador. She is also a board member of the Lollipop Theatre Network, an organization devoted to bringing entertainment to children in hospitals.
