Barbra Streisand is an American singer and actress. She first gained recognition playing Fanny Brice in the 1968 musical Funny Girl, which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress. Her most famous films include The Way We Were (1973), A Star Is Born (1976) Yentl (1983) and Meet the Fockers (2004). Streisand is also an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) winner. In 1964, she won a Grammy for album of the year for The Barbra Streisand Album. She holds the record for the most No. 1 albums by a female artist with 11. Streisand earned her first Primetime Emmy for the 1965 TV special My Name Is Barbra. In 1970, she received a special "Star of the Decade" Tony Award.
