Cher (née Cherilyn Sarkisian) is an American singer and actress. She rose to fame in 1965 alongside then-husband Sonny Bono with the duet "I Got You Babe." In 1971, the duo launched their CBS variety show The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, which ran until 1974_._ As a solo artist, Cher's hit songs include "Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves," "Half-Breed," "Dark Lady_"_ and "If I Could Turn Back Time." She won a Grammy for best dance recording for her 1998 hit "Believe." In the 1980s, Cher starred in Silkwood (1983), Mask (1985), The Witches of Eastwick (1987) and Moonstruck (1987), which she earned an Oscar for in 1988 for Best Actress. Cher's other popular films include Mermaids (1990), Burlesque (2010) and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018).
