Christian Bale is an English actor. He rose to fame in 1987 when he starred in Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun. Bale's most famous films include American Psycho (2000), The Machinist (2004), the Dark Knight trilogy (2005-2012), The Prestige (2006), American Hustle (2014) and Thor: Love And Thunder (2022). In 2011, he won a Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for The Fighter. Bale also won a Golden Globe in 2019 for best actor for his portrayal of politician Dick Cheney in Vice.
