Dwyane Wade is an American former professional basketball player in the NBA. Drafted in 2003, he gained recognition playing shooting guard for the Miami Heat for 16 years before retiring in 2019. In addition to winning three NBA championships (2006, 2012 and 2013) and Finals MVP in 2006, he also won a gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. In 2021, he was honored as one of the league's greatest players of all time. Wade is also a minority owner of the Utah Jazz and serves as co-host on the pre-game show NBA on TNT. He founded Wade's World Foundation during his rookie season in 2003 to help kids in underserved communities.
