Halsey (née Ashley Frangipane) is an American singer and songwriter. They were discovered after their song "Ghost" gained traction on SoundCloud in 2014. Halsey topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2016 when they were featured on The Chainsmokers' "Closer," and again in 2019 with "Without Me." The three-time Grammy nominee welcomed a son, Ender Ridley, with their boyfriend, screenwriter Alev Aydin, in 2021.
