Nicki Minaj (née Onika Tanya Maraj) is a Trinidadian rapper, singer-songwriter, TV personality and actress. She rose to prominence in 2009 after signing to Lil Wayne's label Young Money Entertainment. She released her debut studio album Pink Friday in 2010, earning the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2018, she made history as the first woman to land 100 appearances on the Billboard 100 chart with songs such as "Anaconda," "Starships," "Super Bass" and "Your Love." Minaj was also a former judge on American Idol and appeared on the big screen in The Other Woman (2014) and Barbershop: The Next Cut (2016).
