Jersey Shore alum Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is engaged to boyfriend Christian Biscardi. She announced the happy news Tuesday on Instagram with a photo of Biscardi, whom she’s been dating since 2017, on bended knee as he slides a ring onto her finger.

“I’m completely overwhelmed with happiness,” she wrote. “Yesterday was the best day of my life! I get to marry my other half, best friend and soulmate. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you @_biscardi I love you!! #Fiance #MrsBiscardi #Stillcryingtearsofhappiness.”

Giancola’s Jersey Shore costars congratulated her.

“Omg omg omg !!!!” commented Jenni “JWoww” Farley. “I’m so freaking happy for you.”

“Congats Sam!!!” wrote Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio.

“OMG I’M SCREAMING SAMANTHA!” said Nicole “Snooki Polizzi. “I LOVE YOU!! You deserve the world and I love him!!”

“@sammisweetheart FINALLY!!!” said Angelina Pivarnick. “Congrats love.”

The groom-to-be also commented, quipping: “I love you and I’m equally thrilled that no one is going to tell me to put a ring on it 76,000 times a day!” He also posted the same photo, writing: “I am beyond excited to get to marry my best friend! Here’s to the future Mr. & Mrs. Biscardi.”

Giancola, 31, has kept a relatively low profile since Jersey Shore wrapped in 2012 after six seasons. Her tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship with costar Ronnie Ortiz-Magro lasted eight years, three of which were captured on the show’s original run.

When MTV revived the show last year, Giancola opted out of the Family Vacation reboot to focus on her businesses and her relationship — and avoid “potentially toxic situations,” presumably referring to her ex.

Speaking to PEOPLE at the time, the cast all agreed that they were disappointed, but supportive — even Ortiz-Magro.

“On the one hand, it sucked because we all started this together so we wanted to end it together,” he said. “But at the same time, it worked out better for me because it was just less drama for the house. Less fighting and bickering. Who really wants to live in a house with their ex? That’s just the most uncomfortable feeling in the world.”

“She’s chosen a path in her life and she closed the door on Jersey Shore,” he added. “That was one chapter in her life, and now she’s opened up another one, and she has a boyfriend and she’s really happy and that’s a decision that she made. And us as a family and as castmates and friends that have known her for so long, we’re just going to support whatever she does.”

Ortiz-Magro has also moved on: He and his on-off girlfriend Jen Harley welcomed daughter Ariana Sky last April.
