One of them is the increasing number of waste (WEEE) due to increased life, due to evolution of the technical process and to a wide range of equipment they produce. In terms of environmental pollution and changing of climate, this is a major problem due to toxic materials that are used in fabrication. So, WEEE is a common problem of Romania and China.

The method applied was developed by Taguchi and experimented in one Romanian Automotive Company in order to improve the design of the engine in automotive. I decided to propose the above method in the discovery aspect of a very serious problem facing the production department in one company that produce automotive aluminum parts using die cast process. Because we want to discover a solution to remove the porosity which is the biggest problem in die cast design and process. We have plans to startimplementing the experiment for all the parts produced. The experiment conducted for the implementation of the method has been desired to be applied to eliminate this porosity problem and was based on six trials in which it found the ideal combination of factors and the level at which they must be in order to reduce percentage of parts which are outside the tolerance of porosity characteristics.

The research underpins the earlier research in methodological terms and traces successful performance such as productivity and quality results of an SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) within the context of Industry 4.0. This new industrial paradigm is not just about technology, but it also involves changes in the technical and production development, so current ways of value creation are evolving and bringing extensive organizational consequences and opportunities. Our case study presents the systematic diversification process described in the Maturity Model to implement Industry 4.0 scenario [2] in an automotive production company, using the three elements: Envision, Enable and Enact. We choose to present this case study because many companies want to start the implementation of this new business model. However, there is a gap of information concerning the steps that a small and medium production unit needs to make in order to change the strategy of the company regarding the Industry 4.0. All the above affect directly the productivity results without negative effects on the quality results of the analysed company.

The purpose of this paper is to present the result concerning the Economic Efficiency indicator, which was done in a survey realize during then month’s period in a SME. Because the Economic Efficiency indicator is calculated taking in consideration several variables, we chose to analyze the production variable without taking in consideration the price information. Our approach taken was to identify the variables that represent the technical efficiency and the main findings is that from thirteen variables we identify the most important six.

The purpose of the document is to investigate the involvement of organizations in Social Responsibility, and to obtain results that can confirm or invalidate the proposed hypotheses, presenting a real situation regarding their involvement. Social responsibility has a major impact on communities, hence awareness of the need for involvement in CSR actions. The aim of the research is to study the knowledge and development of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the Center Development Region, in the Mures area, in Romania.

The research performed is mostly of a quantitative nature, being based on the use of the questionnaire as research tool, although some of the questions were raised in order to collect respondents impressions and opinions which would form the object fo qualitative research. The research outlines the fact that in the rural entrepreneurship innovation is performed with minimal investment in new technologies and depends on the entrepreneur's involvement in Innovation Systems Network. It was also noted that most of the entrepreneurs in rural environment are non-innovators. The research question started to assess the key elements which identify the role of innovation among entrepreneurs in rural areas. Based on these facts, we determined the variab...

The approach is justified by the identification of the role of innovation in shaping the profile of local entrepreneurs, the need for theoretical models which should illustrate conceptually and practically the relation between the level of innovation and the successful development of the business. The study started from underlining the main factors which determine economic development in the rural environment. The main objective of the study is to define a predictive model in the scope of sustaining innovative development among the investigated entrepreneurs.

In each organization, the course of creating value has employees on its base. Nevertheless, how do we encourage people to contribute to overall firm’s success? How do we maintain their interest, motivation and involvement? Is it worth investing in human resource and what exactly do we attain in return? This case study presents a system of getting the best of people by investing minimal resources, describing the steps of the process and highlighting the long-term results and impact. After analyzing the key production indicators of the firm, we conducted a deductive analysis of the main financial indicators, which demonstrates the positive evolution of the company after implementing the motivational system. The results are presented for a period of six years starting with 2011. The effect of a suggestion system will increase and will develop a company, but only if it is linked to a foundation that supports the fundamental values of continuous improvement.

Research paper thumbnail of Cortisol and Hippocampal Volume as Predictors of Active Suicidal Behavior in Major Depressive Disorder: Case Report

Balkan Medical Journal, 2016

Since only a third of treated depressed patients are able to achieve remission, in the last few years, new theories have been proposed to better understand the mechanism of this illness. Our paper analyzes the interrelation between cortisol as a marker of neuroendocrine theory as a response to stress, and hippocampal volume subfields in depression as a marker of neurogenesis and neuroplasticity theory. Case Report: Here we present the case of a 52-yearold male patient with known history of MDD, who died as a result of completed suicide by hanging. The patient had been recently discharged from a psychiatric clinic, after being hospitalized for a major depressive episode (MDE). The result of the autopsy, medical records, laboratory analysis and a magnetic resonance image (MRI) of the patient were analyzed. Both the right and left volumes of the hippocampus were found to be smaller when compared to normal values reported in the literature. The morning level of cortisol was higher than the normal value. Conclusion: In a depressed patient with an acute stressful event, high levels of cortisol associated with decreased volume of the hippocampus could represent predictors for an increased risk of suicide.
