This study aimed to investigate the reasons for home deliveries after the implementation of HTP in southeast of Iran. Methods: This case-control study included women who gave birth at home between September 2015 and September 2016 for their last pregnancy; considered as cases (n=300), and women who delivered at a health facility (hospital or Safe Delivery Posts), assigned to the control group (n= 600). Data were collected during face to face interview using a 77-item semi-structured questionnaire. A multivariable logistic regression technique was used to identify independent predictors of home delivery. Results: Women who were worried about giving birth at a teaching hospital (OR=1.9, 95% CI:1.3 -2.8), women with negative experiences in the previous delivery (OR=1.6, 95% CI:1.0-2.4), illiterates (OR=...

The aim of our experiment was to determine the effect of the light intensity and the water salinity on the growth and fatty acid composition of Tetraselmis chuii. There were significant correlation (P ≤ 0.05) between the cell density and light intensity and cell grow rate and light intensity, the correlation were r 2 =0.71; r 2 =0.74 correspondingly. The lowest concentration of the cell density was observed at the lowest light intensity and the highest salinity. Palmitic acid among the saturated fatty acid, oleic acid, among mono unsaturated fatty acid, alpha-linoleic acid among the PUFA, and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) among high unsaturated fatty acid (HUFA), had the highest percentage. Variance analyses showed that the light intensity exhibited a significant correlation (P ≤ 0.05) with PUFA, HUFA. However there was not significant correlati...

The aim of our experiment was to determine the effect of the light intensity and the water salinity on the growth and fatty acid
composition of Tetraselmis chuii. There were significant correlation (P ≤ 0.05) between the cell density and light intensity and cell grow rate and light intensity, the correlation were r 2 =0.71; r2=0.74 correspondingly. The lowest concentration of the cell density was observed at the
lowest light intensity and the highest salinity. Palmitic acid among the saturated fatty acid, oleic acid, among mono unsaturated fatty acid, alpha-linoleic acid among the PUFA, and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) among high unsaturated fatty acid (HUFA), had the highest
percentage. Variance analyses showed that the light intensity exhibited a significant correlation (P ≤ 0.05) with PUFA, HUFA. However
there was not significant correlation among light intensity and SFA, MUFA. This result showed that relationship between environment conditions and fatty acid composition in T. chuii was significant thus it can be used to produce specific profile of fatty acids in this strain.

Therefore, this paper enhanced fingerprinting method of applying biomarkers Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in identifying source and distribution of oil spills of the exposed areas. 10 soil samples collected from the northern coasts of the Persian Gulf along three provinces in the south of Iran. PAH concentrations in the soil ranged from 42.76 to 5596.49 ng.g -1 . In the present study the distribution of 3 ringed PAHs was much higher than the other PAHs. Phenanthrene and alkylated derivatives of phenanthrene such as 3-methyl, 2-methyl, 9-methyl and 1-methyl phenanthrene were distinctively higher than the other components. According to the result PAHs concentration can be considered as no or little risk of toxicity for the organisms living in soil except for Fluoranthhene, comparing LD 50 . Applying marker ratios revealed that in most of the sampling sites showed perogenic sources and it emphasizes on the direct impact of oil and petroleum products to the lands due to oil well exploitation and transferring pipelines.

For this purpose, six primer combinations were analyzed to study the genetic variation among 39 individuals in three populations (Abadan, Bushehr and Bandar Abbas) of the P. kaakan. In total, 88 of 410 putative loci were polymorphic (21.46%). The proportion of polymorphic loci and Nei’s genetic distances for three populations ranged from 68.18% (Bandar Abbas) to 88.64% (Abadan) and from 0.0417 to 0.1121, respectively. Pairwise FST and average expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.0862 to 0.2756 and 0.222 to 0.330, respectively. In addition, UPGMA tree revealed significant geographic structure in this species. Pattern of isolation by distance was observed in this species, indicating that significant genetic differentiation among localities of P. kaakan was mainly due to the geographic distance.
