Frequently Asked Questions for the Editing Team
What is the Editing team working on?
See our projects for a summary of the features we are currently working on.
How can I request some help from the Editing Team?
If you want to request any work from the team, pcreate a ticket in Phabricator and tag it with “#Editing-team.” Using the "Editing-team" tag will move the ticket to the “Untriaged” column for the Editing-team Board. The Editing team will review the tickets in this column and pick up those that they can work on.
What if the issue is urgent?
Reach out to @ppelberg or @Esanders directly for help.
I found a bug on a discussion page for an article. Can you please check it out?
If you think you've spotted a bug, create a ticket and use the tag Editing-team as you would any request. For bugs, please also include steps to reproduce the bug so we can test the issue.

A bit confused about this task because Advanced Mobile Contributions mode already includes that link in More dropdown (option 2):
I have not tested it very thoroughly, but it seems to work. Android's Talkback no longer points out the square brackets when navigating.

Note that the MediaWiki Download ships with CodeEditor, but not CodeMirror, so that needs to be rectified for MediaWiki 1.46.

Is this new in 1.47.0-wmf.2 or did it already occur in older versions?
It's a bit annoying that the URL parameters are redacted, but https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/plugins/gitiles/mediawiki/core/+blame/refs/heads/wmf/1.47.0-wmf.2/includes/EditPage/EditPage.php#1040 should throw an ErrorPageError if the section parameter is not empty, because this condition should then evaluate to false, unless Article::getRevIdFetched() returns the latest ID because Article::fetchRevisionRecord() hasn't been called yet at this point...
Is this new in 1.47.0-wmf.2 or did it already occur in older versions? I don't see any relevant changes in the last week in EditPage/PageEditingHelper that could've caused this
Change #1286377 merged by jenkins-bot:

@SEgt-WMF thanks for sharing this, both initiatives are super relevant to the source verification tool we've been building. Will reach out directly to the contacts
"This text does not link..." sounds more natural to me, as we are talking about the behaviour of the text, rather than the connectivity of the pages.
I've been following this task with interest, as my PhD research involves enriching Wikipedia citation URLs with metadata (domains, media type, country, etc.). Two ongoing efforts might be relevant to the challenges discussed here.
I see these possible solutions to be able to edit the full page without losing the opportunity to edit the lead section:
bmartinezcalvo renamed T426055: Allow to edit the full page when selecting the edit button in the Minerva's actions menu from Use the edit action in the actions menu in Minerva to open the full page editing to Allow to edit the full page when selecting the edit button in the Minerva's actions menu.
VE also allows for a much wider use of tables
I agree that this is what the header button should do, but wasn't this previously rejected as part of T387175?
Change #1170573 had a related patch set uploaded (by DLynch; author: DLynch):
[mediawiki/extensions/MobileFrontend@master] Make the action bar edit button edit the whole page
