I've never had them before, but I'm dying to try them, and I think it's the right time of year to do so. (If not, hey, it's a good reference for the future). I've tried the Asian markets near me, but with no luck. So - where is the best place to get them? I'm pretty familiar with Chinatown, but don't know the bakeries as well as the restaurants. (With, of course, threads that can confirm or refute the opinion...)If that's OK, then let me have you steer clear of Salt & Pepper, a Bella Vista BYOB. I ended up going there through a wine group at Meetup.com. For a city suddenly flush with (at least a reputation for) great BYOB holes-in-the-wall, this place was spectacularly disappointing.Not only was the food ordinary (salad that seemed bagged, nondescript chicken, pie that was maybe lukewarm), but the service -- at least my service -- was terrible. Our group of 20+ people had the place all to ourselves, and it's a small place. I was at the head of my table and both my main course and my dessert were _forgotten._First and last time I'll go there. At least the wines were good... Just when you're in Old City and stumble upon 3rd and Arch, it's so delicious. It's your standard American/Italian/Greek diner/restaurant, but it's food is just so delicious, especially in comparison to other establishments in Philly with similar concepts. Well priced as well, and if you can get over being across the street from the Real World house it's a prime location.I recommend the Buffalo Wings, which are some of my favorite of all time... Just smothered in delicious sauce... mmm... Does anybody else just love this place/ It's just so homey and tasty.
