Hi, I'm new to this community. I recently took a bunch of photos while traveling in Italy. I used a 35mm camera and had a problem with a light leak. I got the camera fixed, and I got some good photos that turned out fine, but I was wondering if there's anyway to edit a light leak on a photo editing program to make it less noticable. I tried dodging the light leak to make it darker, but instead of revealing the photo underneath, it would just make the light leak look darker and more noticable.

Hey, my name is Sam. You can check out my older work here or here. I've got a Canon Digital Kiss N. I have the standard 18-55, the Tokina 10-17, and the Sigma 10-20. What else do I need? Just today I saw this gorgeous shot of a snail on part of my house, and I almost teared up because I just could capture the incredulousness, you know? I've got two jobs lined up, one working at a studio downtown that specializes in portraits, and the other is working for a production company where I would be documenting clubs, concerts, and events relating to that. When not working, rather, when not being paid, I take pictures of everything - the parties I go to, the bands I see, the buildings I walk near, the colours I'm surrounded by, etc. Mostly, I make sure I can look at one picture from a day, or whatever, and I know everything that happened that day. What would you recommend? Lens type, and place to purchase. Or even if it's a flash I should invest in. What should I stay away from? What are your tips and suggestions?

I should probably mention that I don't/can't use photoshop or anything of the sort. I haven't tried, nor do I really want to, though, anytime soon. I suppose that's something to keep in mind when thinking about what lenses or accessories I should consider.

Other than the above, though, I'm always looking to build up my portfolio some more, and help some people in need of a cheap/free photographer.

Hi, my name is Sam. I should apologize ahead of time, if I'm way out of line. I have a Digital Kiss N. You can check out some of my work here (I don't want to ruin this first expression by coming off like a complete jerk, but you will have to add me. I've had instances in the past where my work was stolen, and one specific case when a girl was given a scholarship based on my work, so yeah, I'm a little skeptical in that sense. So please, don't mistake my fear and skepticism for rudeness and arrogance). I'm kind of new to the whole Digital thing, by a few years. Most, actually all but this and another camera of mine, are film cameras circa the 60's (Argus 260 Film Automatic, Polaroid OneStep Express, Kodak Pony 135 Model C, Kodak Instamatic 414, Kodak Signet 40, Kowa SE, Mamiya 1000, and Kodak 35). I've been saving for additions and accessories for this Kiss N, for a while, now. However, I guess I'm looking for what would work best, turn out best, and be more efficient all around with this. I'd like a zoom, fish-eye, wide-angle, panorama, zoom flash, etc. So, I guess I'm asking for that? What would you recommend? What should I stay away from? Where can I get these things? What're less expensive? What should I not go cheap on? Can you help me?

Aside from that, what does everybody like taking pictures of? What else have you guys been hired for?
What other cameras do you have, and what would you like that you don't have?

I am a newbie in the photography world. I've been using a digicam but I would love to start using 35mm cameras. I know nothing about these types of cameras. I would like to know if someone with more experience can help me choose a camera.... I know that if it was left up to me to choose one, i'd get ripped off.

Some of my 30 year old b/w photos of Manhattan were recently published in a journal for photo researchers, The Picture Professional. I am thrilled to have them in print after all this time.

P.S. don't be afraid to be brutally honest with your comments and criticisms. I don't mind as long as they're constructive ;)
