Come join us in our first annual Fuckurt Big Bang!Due to the size and length of the GleekMods-run Out With A Bang, we have decided to combine two of our other long-running Glee bangs, the Puckurt Big Bang and the Pinn & Kinn Big Bang, into a single multi-ship bang. The Fuckurt Big Bang is a writing challenge focusing on the relationships between the characters of Noah Puckerman, Kurt Hummel, and Finn Hudson from the television show Glee. Stories may be about Pinn, Kinn, Puckurt, or Fuckurt. Authors will complete stories of 10,000 words or more over the course of four months, and these stories will be paired with artwork in a variety of media created by artists.Everyone is welcome to sign up, whether you're new to fandom and fanfiction/fanart or are a previous participant in the PKBB or P&KBB. More than anything, this big bang is a fun opportunity to write something different and to challenge yourself! |

Kurt Hummel thought that sort of thing only happened in movies until one night with a Ouija board suggested otherwise. Now he's gotten caught up in something that he doesn't quite understand and finding things out about himself that he can't control. And as the Sylvester Group start to catch up with him Kurt starts to realize that his life and his relationships will never be the same again.

Title: In The Dark I See
Author(s): patchfire & raving_liberal
Rating: R
Spoilers: Through season 4 (and some details of seasons 5 and 6).
Wordcount: 32942
Summary: Finn's life sometimes feels like a series of small failures, punctuated by people leaving him. Months after high school, Finn and Puck are both still looking for a plan. For Puck, it's been Finn all along, even if it took him a while to figure that out. A literal shoulder to cry on, a motorcycle, a rabbi, and a leather daddy named Big Al are just a few things that help them along on their ride towards their own version of a picket fence and a happy ending.
Ish.
Ending-ish.

As we only have four writers/three fics and three artists completing this year's bang, all stories will be posted on December 5th. The schedule for posting is as follows:
patchfire & raving_liberal at 10AM EST
mousesizedragon at 12PM EST
woodsgal/rosarosa at 2PM EST
Posting
Once you have received your assigned date and time for posting, it will be your responsibility to make sure your story is posted within that time window. This allows you to make any necessary edits to your work if you notice errors or wish to make other changes. As explained in the guidelines, all authors must have both an AO3 and a Livejournal account. Stories will be posted in full to AO3 and then linked with a header on the pinnkinnbigbang journal. You should also add your work to the Pinn & Kinn Big Bang 2014 collection on AO3. You may post your story to AO3 up to 24 hours prior to your posting date/time in order to check formatting, tags, embedded art, etc. Please do not post links to your story prior to your posting date/time.
When your posting date/time arrives, you will fill out and post the header (found below), the link to your story, and your artist's art masterpost where relevant to pinnkinnbigbang. All authors be granted posting access to this community for the duration of the posting period.
Formatting
You may format the text and art within your story however you prefer. However, when you post to pinnkinnbigbang, we require you to use the HTML edit tab on the Post an Entry page, and copy/past the following format:
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks!

Welcome to the second check-in post for the Pinn & Kinn Big Bang. At this point, we have dropped down to three authors and two artists. We are continuing with the bang, but it will obviously have to go forward in a somewhat truncated fashion. You may check in whether you have reached the halfway point to minimum word count or not.
Please comment to this post using the format below to update your word count and any changes to your summary. Just copy the text from the text area, paste it into a comment, and fill in your information. This information, including the summary, will be used for your artist claims, so please be as thorough as possible (including warnings!).
If you have any art preferences, including art type or content you are not comfortable receiving, please include it with your check-in information. We can't promise a specific artist or art style, but we will do our best to pair compatible artists and authors.
This check-in will be open for three days. Check-ins are mandatory for continued participation; not checking in constitutes a drop from the bang.

The PKBB accepts all types of fanart, fanmixes, and fanvids. Definitions/descriptions of various types of fanart may vary by fandom, so the following list will describe each art type (as the terminology will be used in this bang) and what each art type entails:
Graphics are designs and text that do not include picture of the actors in or out of character and which are not digital drawings of the characters/settings. Artists submitting a graphics package should include a header/banner image in at least two sizes which includes the story's correct title and the author's name; a cover/poster that can be used on AO3 or FF.net (please consult with your author about where they plan to post); section divider(s) or chapter header(s) appropriate for the work.
Manips are graphics which incorporate pictures of the actors in or out of character. They can be static (like a movie poster) or animated (GIFs). Artists submitting a manips package should include:
- A header/banner image in at least two sizes which includes the story's correct title and the author's name and a cover/poster that can be used on AO3 or FF.net (please consult with your author about where they plan to post)
OR
- A header/banner image in at least two sizes which includes the story's correct title and the author's name and an animated gif set.
- Fanmixes are playlists made to accompany a story, and which are compatible with the story in tone or theme. Artists submitting a fanmix should include a downloadable (not 8tracks) mix of at least five songs with front cover art that includes the correct title of the story and back cover art that includes a tracklist.
- Traditional art is a drawing or painting created using a traditional medium like pencil, colored pencil, oil pastels, water color, or oil paint. Artists submitting traditional artwork should include 2+ pieces of artwork, though that may include one traditional drawing and one header/cover art piece.
- Digital art is a drawing or painting created using a digital program like Photoshop. Artists submitting digital artwork should include 2+ pieces of artwork, though that may include one traditional drawing and one header/cover art piece.
- Fanvids are short videos (usually set to music) that use footage of the actors in or out of character to tell a story or portray a theme. Artists submitting fanvids should include at least one video of at least a minute in length that is relevant to the story. Fanvids should be posted to YouTube.
- Combo art packages include art pieces in two or more of the above styles, such as digital art + manips, graphics + fanmix, etc. Feel free to combine art styles as best suits you and your author! If you have any questions about the number of pieces your combo art package style should entail, please contact the mods.
There is no maximum number of pieces, however; please feel free to create as many as you would like!
