Hasbro is an American multinational toy and board game company headquartered in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and was established on December 6, 1923. It is the largest toy maker in the world in terms of stock market value, and third largest with revenues of approximately $4.45 billion. Hasbro acquired the trademarks and products of Kenner, Galoob, Tiger Electronics, Parker Brothers, and Milton Bradley, among others.

Among its products are Monopoly, G.I. Joe, Furby, Transformers, Nerf, My Little Pony, Star Wars, Marvel and Yo-Kai Watch. The Hasbro brand also spawned TV shows to promote its products, such as Family Game Night on the Discovery Family network. It was announced on February 16, 2018, that Saban Brands would partner with Hasbro to make Power Rangers toys.[1][2] However, on May 1, 2018, it was announced that Hasbro had taken over full rights to Power Rangers and most if not all of the other Saban Brands properties after an acquisition purchase.[3][4]

Allspark Pictures, a subsidiary of Hasbro which produced and co-financed their film and television production, was the producer of Power Rangers content until it was folded into EOne Entertainment, which was then sold to Lionsgate three years after being acquired by Hasbro. The TV and film production assets were then restructured in 2023 into Hasbro Entertainment following the sale of EOne, located in Los Angeles, California.

In 2023, the company celebrated its centennial, kicking off the festivities at San Diego Comic-Con with plans on making special merchandise for the occasion.[5]

On December 12, 2023, Hasbro entered a licensing agreement with McFarlane Toys, which will produce high-quality scaled figures for Power Rangers and other Hasbro properties.[6] In 2024, the company made a global licensing deal for Power Rangers with Playmates while retaining ownership of the media rights and non-toy merchandise.[7] June 2024 saw the launch of Hasbro’s video game label Hasbro Retro Arcade, which co-published Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind with game developer Digital Eclipse.
