Kukuruga (ククルーガ, Kukurūga) was one of the Vice Shoguns of Space Shogunate Jark Matter. He was also responsible for the devastation of the planet Kaien in the Shishi System, and supposedly killed Lucky’s father, King Aslan. But in truth, It turns out that it was false, and yet involved with the king’s downfall on turning him into one of Don Armage’s possessed vessels.
History[]
Kukuruga was responsible for the devastation wreaked on the planet Kaien in the Shishi System which led to the relocation of their young prince to Luth in the Kojishi System.

In reality, it was false, but Kukuruga was involved with the first Kaien King’s downfall on ending up being possessed as one of Don Armage’s host. Kukuruga first appeared alongside his fellow Vice-Shoguns Akyanba and Tecchu, assembling before Don Armage, who ordered the trio to eliminate Tsurugi Otori. TV STORY-Space.22: True Identity of the Legendary Savior TV STORY-Space.23: Become My Shield!
After Tecchu's death at the hands of all twelve Kyurangers, Don Armage finally summoned both Kukuruga and Akyanba against the Kyurangers. TV STORY-Space.25: Planet Toki, the Boy's Determination!
His past self was then seen, where he was seen lacking his future self's bazooka and his weapon was a sword. TV STORY-Space.29: Orion, The Strongest Warrior
However, he was resurrected as a giant by Don Armage alongside Akyanba and Tecchu, before he was defeated by KyurenOh 01*02*05*08*09 and Gigant Houou. But, when the team returned to the future, he was still alive again alongside Akyanba. TV STORY-Space.30: All Right! The Miraculous Kyutama
Reconstructed by Dr. Anton in the Jark Matter Laboratory, Kukuruga, enthusiastic to face Lucky again, was made aware that the Kyurangers were headed for Kaien. TV STORY-Space.36: The Legend That Sleeps in Lucky's Homeworld
Death[]
Kukuruga queries Jumotsu about the Kyurangers' arrival on planet Kaien. Much to his surprise, he is informed that Lucky's father is the ruler of its kingdom. He advents to the ground to combat Shishi Red and reveals the fact that he was the one responsible to invading Kaien. To be more discrete, he disclosed the fact of how Aslan begged for life in trade of selling his people out. He then uses the Kukurugun to wound the Kyuranger after he gave him the choice to dodge the energy blast that would instead injure his defenseless people.
On a holographic screen, Kukuruga with Aslan announced the "king's" plan to publicly execute Lucky as a result of cowardness.
Kukuruga check ups on a chained-up Lucky and punches him for his amusement stating that his luck seems to be running out. The Kyurangers try to interfere and he fires energy shots at them during their fight against Jumotsu and his Tsuyoindavers. Now out of the way, he commands Aslan to kill Lucky until he reveals the fact that this Aslan is not his father, forcing Kukuruga to reveal that he killed the real Aslan a long time ago. Wanting to avenge him, Kukuruga tries to prevent it but is struck by lightning from a sudden storm that sends his flying to the ground.
Enraged by the Kyurangers finding about Jark Matter's true plan, he, Jumotsu and Tsuyoindavers face off against the team. He boldly goes up against Shishi Red Orion but is quite overpowered by the warrior. This makes him even more frustrated on why his plan didn't follow through. He would survive the Infinish Blast, forcing him to enlarge. Now fighting Super KyurenOh 4*06*09*11*77 and Orion Battler, Kukuruga matches the mechs with attacks from his Kukurugun but falters eventually. He is destroyed by a Super Galaxy finisher of the Super KyurenOh Final Break and Orion Dynamic Strike. TV STORY-Space.37: Lucky’s Reunion with His Father

Kukuruga was ultimately recreated by Doctor Anton as Akyachuuga (アキャチューガ, Akyachūga), a fusion of himself and fellow Vice Shoguns Akyanba and Tecchu. They were sent to the Minami Juuji System to defend planet Southern Cross's core against the Kyurangers but were finally destroyed by KyurenOh (01-02-03-05-11), RyuTeiOh (07-09-10), and Gigant Houou using Battle Orion Ship as a cannon. - Energy Absorption and Redirection: With his Kukurugan, he can absorb any energy from his opponents' attacks and redirect it at them.
- Dark Energy Emission: He can fire a strong blast from his chest as a last resort.

- Kukurugun (ククルガン, Kukurugan): He is armed with a laser bazooka on his left arm which can be used to fire or absorb energy and fire a stronger energy blast.
- Medor Saber (メドウサーベル, Medou Sāberu): His past self from 300 years ago was armed with a sword that can launch a giant energy slash or bladed shockwave. He actually still has it, and can use it in conjecture with his arm cannon in the present day.

- Kukulruga is voiced by Naoya Uchida (内田 直哉, Uchida Naoya) who previously played Tatsuya Midorikawa/Denzi Green in Denshi Sentai Denjiman, Raiken in Engine Sentai Go-Onger: Boom Boom! Bang Bang! GekijōBang!! and Rairaiken in episodes 39 and 40 of Engine Sentai Go-Onger. His suit actor is Masato Tsutamune (蔦宗正人, Tsutamune Masato), who also portrayed the monster form of Scorpio in the series.
Design[]
- Kukuruga is designed by K-SuKe after the Quetzalcoatl, as well as the image of the Greek hero Perseus had he failed in his fight against Medusa and had himself petrified, hence Kukuruga's present-day cyborg form.
- His dragon-like shoulder pad is based on the Greek monster Cetus, whom Kukuruga's Greek hero inspiration fought against to rescue Andromeda.
