Prof. (Dr.) Sasidhar Babu Suvanam
Dr. Sasidhar Babu Suvanam holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Swami Ramananda Teerth Marathwada University, Maharashtra, completed in 2012. With over 25 years of teaching and 15+ years of research experience, as a Professor in the Presidency school of Computer Science & Engineering.
Dr. Sasidhar has an impressive academic and research portfolio, with over 75 research papers published in reputed international journals, including 20 in SCI/WOS and 20 in SCOPUS-indexed journals, as well as numerous contributions to Google Scholar journals and conferences. He has actively organized and participated in several international conferences and symposiums. With four Ph.D. students successfully guided to completion and four more currently under his supervision, Dr. Sasidhar has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic mentorship. His research impact includes over 1,050+ citations, with an H-index of 13+ and an I-10-index of 13+ on both Google Scholar and Scopus. Additionally, his contributions to innovation are evident in his two granted patents, four published patents, and six authored books with ISBNs. This extensive body of work reflects his dedication, expertise, and significant contributions to the field.
Dr. Sasidhar has served as an external Ph.D. thesis examiner and evaluator for various government, deemed, and private universities, including SRTM University, Anna University, Saurashtra University, GITAM, and Symbiosis University. He has successfully secured over six lakh rupees in project funding from IIT Bombay through the Ministry of HRD for infrastructure development. Dr. Sasidhar has also contributed as a session chair, technical program committee member, and chaired numerous sessions at international conferences. His expertise extends to reviewing research papers for prestigious international publications, including IEEE conferences and other esteemed journals. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Naval Architecture (FRINA), London, in 2015. Additionally, he has delivered numerous keynote addresses at faculty development programs and conferences.
In his commitment to knowledge-sharing and supporting the technical community, Dr. Sasidhar has become a life member of several professional organizations, including the Indian Society for Technical Education, the Indian Science Congress, the Indian Statistical Institute Council, the International Association of Engineers (IAENG) in Hong Kong, the TI Society of Digital Information and Wireless Communications, and the Cryptology Research Society of India, where he serves as an Associate Member. He is also an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) in London and a member of the Computer Science Teachers Association.
His teaching and research interests span a wide range of advanced topics, including Cyber Security, Blockchain Technology, Information Retrieval, Database Systems, Mobile Network Security, Web Security, Cryptography & Steganography, IoT, Cyber-Crime, Cyber Forensics, Ethical Hacking, Security Threats, and Cloud Computing and Security.
