Because of this, she has ended up in regression and now lives her life, like an abused little girl may, mostly in a fantasy world together with her dolls whose life take place in a doll house. However, the dolls' lives and her fantasies around them revolve around sex, as the adult Lisa gathers all her frustrations around her inhibited sexuality. Her husband is unemployed and is unable to find a new job, if he is even looking for one. Yet he is hardly ever at home with his wife, but most of the time out drinking. When he comes home drunk, he sometimes also acts physically abusive towards Lisa Ann. The dolls let her transport her emotional needs to an understanding of them. This will eventually lead her to shape a clear objective as to how to transform her life according to those needs. But it takes a conscious decision for Lisa to leave her oppressed situation and her fantasy world, and step out into reality.See less
