During his recreation he becomes impressed with the way "Sylves" shines shoes and figures he ought to make good as a scrapper. "Knock 'em Dead Kelly," whose manager happens into Hadley's office to draw up a life contract, gives Bill the idea, so Bill loses no time in assuring "Sylves" that his fortune will be made providing he puts his future in Bill's hands.
