The mother, after a long search, finds her daughter in a disused cottage. The joy of the mother is of short duration; two lions attracted by the presence of living people, scratch at the door of the cottage and try to enter. The door does not long resist the pressure and is broken down by the lions. The moment is terrible, but the woman sees a way of salvation. In the middle of the room is a very deep hole in which a quantity of arms is hidden by the Arabians preparatory to a rebellion. The lions bounding into the room fall into the hole as the woman had hoped. The mother and child are saved, saved from the Arabian, saved from the lions.
