Faintheart appeals to Cutie, but Fearnot was bolder and carried her kicking to his cave. Faintheart consults Ala Gazem, a bewhiskered magician who looks into the future and shows Faintheart how, in civilized society, he would battle for the same lady against the same bold bozo, and win. When he comes out of the reverie he hops in on Fearnot's cave, where the latter is entertaining the lady in question. Faintheart takes a huge club and bounces it off Fearnot's dome repeatedly without making any impression. Then Fearnot arises, takes his trusty bludgeon and taps Faintheart but once. The latter keels over, and Fearnot resumes his seat with total indifference. Written by Universal Weekly, January 3, 1925 See less
