Dick needs Baldy and plans a joke on the old lady. He writes to the girl that a rich uncle visiting in the city wishes to meet her. With Baldy dressed in swell clothes accompanying him, Dick calls on her. Baldy, posing as a millionaire, makes a deep impression on the old lady, and Dick is restored to favor. Of course Baldy makes all sorts of foolish mistakes, but they are forgiven and he is asked to call again. The next day the old lady discovers Baldy working at his job. She is furious and goes to confront Dick. He sees her coming and beats a hasty retreat. Baldy rests content that he has been in high society for at least one day.
