Tontolini also appears on the scene, and seats himself on the other side of the girl. Each are desirous of getting rid of the other. Finally Coco goes off, and leaves the field to Tontolini, but son returns with some handsome presents, which apparently turn the tide of love in Coco's direction. Tontolini goes off, and also purchases a present, which the girl quickly appropriates, rushing off to join her lover, and laughs over the discomfiture of Coco and Tontolini. These two valiants determine to fight for the girl, and after some funny preparations, a duet takes place, but the sight of the maid crossing the dueling ground on the arm of her lover, causes the two to. throw down their pistols and fall into each other's arms.
