There comes a call to capture, dead or alive, "Howling Hank," a cattle rustler who values no man's life but his own. When the Superior Officer assigns two of his men to the task of "getting the man," one of the two is Paul. The pursuit begins and most of the action takes place "North of 57" where, as the sub-title states, icicles grow so big they use them for fence posts. But there is sufficient action to warm things up and after ten days the mild hero returns with "his man," reporting that the only State the chase did not lead him through was Rhode Island, and exhibiting his shoes, worn through to the bare foot to prove the extent of the "chase."
