The orphan, wandering the streets, soon meets a young boy who invites her to follow him to the Apaches. There, violent beings teach several children the art of pick-pocketing: they are trained, on a mannequin equipped with bells, to steal a wallet discreetly, that is to say without ringing the bells. Children who bring in nothing are beaten and the orphan is sent to work... She takes refuge in tears at the police station where, taking pity on her, a well-dressed man adopts her. She now lives in a wealthy home and wears a lovely white dress... One night, burglars force the door and our orphan recognizes her young friend among them. She hides it under the bed while the police are called, who arrest the gang of criminals in front of the house. The generous parents also adopt the boy. Written by Gaumont-Pathe Archives See less
