Her replacement at the surgery ruffles a few feather due to her gaudy fashion sense and her lack of social diplomacy. Michael takes a special liking to her and, when his feelings are welcomed, Michael faces the possibility of losing his virginity. While at the hospital, Julie witnesses first-hand the inadequate staffing and lack of support available to the nurses, which culminates in a nurses' strike throughout the hospital. At first Julie opposes the action, until she finds herself in a situation in which the nurses' conditions result in the death of two patients - at which point, Julie joins in the strike action.See less
