It wrecks on the north coast of Kauai. The coastline there is known as the Na Pali Cliff region; it is very rugged country with no roads and only a few trails. The kidnappers survive the wreck, they learn that the boat has been reported missing and is presumed destroyed. To avoid losing out on the half-million-dollar ransom, the kidnappers engage the help of a local nature lover. He directs them to a general store where they can make a telephone call to the singer's manager, to demand the ransom payment. Danno is familiar with the area, he has surfed there. He goes to the cliffs area to find out where the kidnappers are hiding. After trekking through the rough terrain, Danno, McGarrett, and Chen confront the kidnappers. Written by Peter Harris See less
