It seems like some young men killed a black man, one of them made a death bed confession. The prosecutor says that most of his accomplices are dead except for one who is now a Senator. Todd is hesitant to do it because the Senator's been a staunch supporter of civil equality. He asks Cohen if he can investigate and he goes to the town where it happened and it seems no one there remembers it and/or doesn't know the man who was killed. He eventually finds someone who is hesitant to talk but he eventually gets the person to tell him what happened. Malloy wants to get back at the man who disrespected him. And he learns the man likes to play poker so he gets him into a high stakes game and sets him up to lose big. Roy is approached by one of the girls at Malloy's brothel who asks him to kill someone. When she refuses to tell him why she wants him dead. Roy asks Cohen to check him out and he appears to be clean. So he goes to the man's house and snoops around and discovers her connection to him.
