Gometz falls in love with Dolores, the Spanish Grandee's daughter, and Don Manuel orders him from the hacienda. The captain tries to persuade Dolores to elope with him. Fearing her father, she will not consent, but offers no remarkable resistance when her lover forcibly carries her off. An outlaw robs the mission of the precious bell and conceals it in the den near where Gometz and his love are in hiding. The captain overpowers the bandits by working upon their religious superstitions, rescues the bell and takes both it and the girl back to the hacienda. Don Manuel forgives the captain and agrees to his marriage with Dolores. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
