Shuy Sem says goodbye to another flight attendant who will continue her flight to Rio, while she returns to her apartment in the Paraíso Building, which is being closely watched by police officer Sérgio. The police officer had received complaints from residents of the building that an interceptor had been placed on the telephone communication network and that all conversations were being violated. For this reason, Sérgio decided to closely observe the building. Opposed by the irascible Carmen, Kátia, after her day's work, arranges to meet up with her neighbor, the doctor Orlando, much to the frustration of Dorotéia, who was also counting on that meeting, despite being married to the building's superintendent, Otávio. The building's owner, Edgar, complains to his wife Mafalda about the excesses she has been committing in acquiring jewelry, using illegal means.See less
