Meanwhile, in Boston, Reggie Jackson could not catch a blooper in right field, and Billy Martin intentionally took Jackson out of the game, which lead to a huge argument. Jackson was not happy about it, and he was told to leave the park before it escalated into something bigger. When Steinbrenner witnessed this, he ordered his advisor, Gabe Paul to fire Billy Martin.
