The lift goes down with Kelly and C.C. in it. Marcello's tape starts up and father and daughter discover that Marcello planned to kill C.C.. Fearing for Kelly's life, Marcello heads for the staircase down towards the basement, followed by Sophia. He arrives at time to move away from the centre the machine gun which is only scratching C.C..
