In the sunny south, she wants to get over the painful divorce from her husband. During a stopover in Bavaria, where Bettina wants to visit her great-uncle Gustav, the trip takes an unexpected turn. Gustav, so Bettina learns on arrival, died a few days before - and he bequeathed his picturesque farm to her, much to the delight of his old friend and colleague Karl, who hopes that the farm will not be sold to a petrol station chain after all. But Bettina wants to continue her trip to Italy as soon as possible - which is why she definitely wants to sell the property, but only to a buyer who would not demolish the historic building. But that's easier said than done, especially since the clever Karl pissed off all potential interested parties with wit and cunning. So, completely unexpectedly, Bettina's planned short visit turns into a longer stay. Surprisingly quickly she settles in again in the village of her childhood, not least because she meets her crush from her teenage days in the good-looking Martin. Thanks to him, Bettina finally seems to be able to overcome the divorce. However, the headstrong Martin is not the only one who is courting her: In order to get hold of Bettina's inherited property for the affluent gas station chain, Alexander, the company's representative, pretends to be a nature-loving writer and tries to soften Bettina with slogans and to ensnare romantic excursions. Only when it is almost too late does she discover Alexander's real intentions. As if that weren't enough excitement, a little later her dominant mother Sophie appears on the farm to take over the sale of the property. Bettina realizes that she must finally be clear about how and, above all, where she wants to start her life anew. Written by ARD Das Erste See less
