Unaware to them that Brad is hiding in the closet. Meanwhile, Herb and Will are discussing Brad's case and whether or not he will plead guilty to raping Karen. Matt and Pat are discussing Maggie and her attraction to Clint. Pat says that Maggie is in love with Clint and Matt says that Maggie is incapable of love. Jim prepares Mick for his surgery and tells Mick that the hospital offered Fran a job, but she turned it down. Mick knows how desperate he and his mother need money and feels guilty that Fran will want to take care of him after the surgery. Joanne and Clint have a heart to heart about why Joanne was gone so long and it turns out it is because of Maggie. Clint decides to keep Joanne on and have Maggie re-assigned at the Banner.
