Brian is shocked and thrilled to be reunited with his father, Paul Kendall. Joe updates Dorian that his headaches are getting worse and Dorian is very concerned. Dorian gives Joe a head massage to try and relieve his tension and headache. Joe is convinced he has a brain tumor. Viki is visiting Pat and Pat wonders where Brian is and sees a note that has her in tears. Viki asks what is wrong and Pat says that Paul is in Llanview. Paul explains that he has been working for the government. Paul tells Brian that he knows Pat is in love with Tony. Brian says that if Pat knows Paul is back, she will leave Tony. After Dorian's massage, Joe feels better and decides to go home as Marco arrives. Brian tells Paul that if Paul is leaving Llanview, then he is going with him. On Pat's way out to look for Brian, Richard is at the door. Richard tells Pat that he brought over the letter and that Brian read the letter. Brian arrives and asks Pat if she knew that Paul was in town. Viki goes home and tells Joe that Paul Kendall is alive and that Paul is not Brian's father and Tony Lord is. Brian tells Pat that he is leaving if she stays with Tony and storms upstairs. Paul arrives at Pat's.
