From an early age, Summer - a crystal child - learns that she is able to physically absorb other people's energy and give accurate readings on traumatic events that they've experienced. By the time adulthood's come around, she learns to fully trust the mystical voices that guide her to, well - tell people what it is that making their lives feel so off-kilter. Hilarity ensues as she finds herself being prompted - or, as she puts it, "divinely guided" - to "head down aisle five" at her local drugstore to tell the woman with the red hair that the abdominal cramping she's been experiencing is rooted in her late father's hatred of The Little Mermaid.
