The police close down access to the hospital and ground all lifts trapping Chrissie & Martha inside. Elliott's world falls apart when he discovers Martha has been injured. When Sam decides to do emergency surgery on both Faye and Zoe, Elliott leaves at a crucial time as he cannot concentrate and so leaving Sam to choose who to save. Zoe dies on the table and Faye develops complications but Joseph, Maddie & Sam manage to save her. Tim steals drugs from Darwin and gives himself a lethal injection and dies in the stairwell. Delighted to find that Chrissie is OK Stuart invites her and Mark to spend Christmas with him.
