While Eric, Ridge and Thorne take the spotlight, Brooke reveals to Sheila that she has begun to make peace with the family - with one notable exception. On cue, Stephanie arrives to talk about Taylor's absence. Stephanie is surprised that Brooke agrees with her that Taylor and Ridge are very much in love. However, Brooke warns Stephanie that her distrust of her may only drive Ridge into her arms eventually. Later, Brooke tries to cheer up Ridge and get his mind off of his troubles with Taylor. In Elgin, Taylor is horrified as Damon announces that Mary Warwick has been dead for years - and that James killed her. James claims that his mother is merely out of town. Damon retorts that Jimmy is a hopeless cause and belongs into a nuthouse. Taylor tries to make sense of this absurd situation.
