She cares for him , but is fickle, an thoughtless. They become engaged. He has a rival, however, in Herbert Andrews, who was really a spendthrift but who has a high moral standing in the community. Henry saves Sue from the powers of a tough in a dance hall and takes her to his home, having his housekeeper fit her in new clothes. His rival sees the incident and hastens to Holt's prospective father-in-law and tells of the bringing the dance hall girl to his home. The father hurries to Holt's home, where he finds the girl, and tells him never to see his daughter again and leaves. Sue returns to the slums where she joins the Salvation Army. Time passes and Holt falls in the social scale. The Salvation Girl sees her former idol down in the depths. She speaks to him and persuades him to join the Salvation Army. Some time later Herbert Andrews is accepted by Ruth. A slumming party is proposed and they visit the Salvation Army. where they find Henry Holt who has disappeared. Recognitions are in order and Holt congratulates Herbert upon obtaining Ruth for a wife, and the society folk leave., while the soldiers of the Salvation Army sink to their knees in prayer.See less
