One is put into the hand of a gentleman who has just penned a very affectionate epistle to a lady, with whose nearest relative he is by no means a favorite, but by ill luck he sends the postcard of Polidor of his own, and, the relative of the girl intercept it, begins to look out for the comedian with murder intentions. Polidor is unwise enough to throw a postcard through an open window, unaware that the room been ransacked by burglars. The police find the photograph, and Polidor is suspected of being the burglar. While the unsuspecting comedian is acting in a film in one of the streets, he finds himself suddenly assaulted by the girl's relative, and immediately afterwards seized by the police, but his explanations are deemed satisfactory, although he has first received some rough usage.
