For this, Tontolini is very roughly handled, and finally thrown out of the room by two flunkies. As he rolls down the steps he takes the carpet with him, and envelopes himself in it. He keeps rolling on, knocking down tradesmen, police, and all who come in his way. He rolls up the side of a house on to the roof, over the tiles, and down on the other side into a pool of water, from which he is fished out like a drowned rat.
