As a young man, the farmer Ed Samuel courted and married three sisters against the wishes of their father. Ed and his wives were treated as pariahs by the local community, but they managed to have a relatively stable household and to raise several children. In his early 40s, Ed enters a midlife crisis and cheats on his wives with a college student. The wives intimidate the mistress into ending the affair, but Ed is murdered soon after that. The wives are treated as main suspects, and the pressure reveals their hidden resentments and frustrations from over a decade of co-habitation. But Bones and Booth suspect that the killer was male. Meanwhile, they privately laugh at the victim for his overconfidence. Written by Dimos I See less
