Stephanie is not ready to throw in the towel and makes an appointment with Dr. Jay Garvin. Stephanie comes straight to the point that the man in her life is seeing a certain Sheila Carter. The psychiatrist naturally reminds the Forrester Matriarch that he cannot reveal privileged information about his other patients. Unaffected by these words, Stephanie stresses that she is certain Sheila is keeping secrets from everybody and that Dr. Garvin has to inform Eric before he is making a big mistake by marrying the woman. Taylor admits to Eric that it bothers her that Ridge is experiencing fatherhood with Brooke and not her - and that her rival has proven time over time that she cannot be trusted to respect someone else's marriage. Later, Ruthanne visits Eric at work and urges him not to waste this unique opportunity to get back together with Stephanie. Brooke surprises Ridge and Charles with her hesitancy to finalize the divorce. The attorney explains that Eric is very eager to move on and that the usual waiting period is already over due to the lengthy proceedings. Eventually, Brooke signs the divorce papers which officially marks the end of her marriage.
