Workmen, ladies, and gentlemen all are his victims in turn. After which an exciting chase takes place, ending in Tontolini upsetting all his pursuers by placing a rope across a ditch. He takes the shoes off his victims, and is happy until the shoes begin to glide away of their own accord and he is finally left dissolute at the tricks the boots play him.
